So this is our chosen mode of transport.
Comfortable, reliable, stylish, fun,
more luggage space than the Lotus and
capable of covering huge distances quite
slowly. Now all we had to do was find
a suitable route. We checked out the
"SUSTRANS CYCLE NETWORK" which was useful
for some of the journey. The rest of
the route was made up as we went along.
We left our home in Norwich, Norfolk on
July 20th 2001. Averaging 65 miles a day,
we arrived in Gretna six days later having
covered 400 miles in total and 12200ft. of
up hill. (The Tandem is fitted with an Altimeter)

In case you were wondering, no we didn't cycle all the way in our wedding outfits!!!
We did however cycle from our accommodation in Gretna to the wedding venue, Gretna Hall, in full wedding regalia. Which turned one or two heads, can't think why!!!
